Intercultural Journeys Concert Saturday, March 9, 2013 2:00PM Daniels Pavilion WORLD PEACE THROUGH MUSIC Bridging Cultural Divides CONCERT: Saturday, March 9, 2:00 pm in the Daniels Pavilion Concert is being given in tandem with a Friday workshop.  INTERCULTURAL JOURNEYS International Ensemble will present a concert of Klezmer and Jazz, Israeli folk music and spirituals, including a performance of “Vivaldi Gone Wild,” a special Klezmer rendition, with members of NPO. Featured artists to include: Udi Bar-David, Intercultural Journeys Artistic Director, Philadelphia Orchestra cellist and one of the top versatile cellists in the world. Phyllis Chapell, named one of the top 500 jazz singers of all time. Margot Leverett, a leading clarinetist of the klezmer revival. Hafez El Ali Kotain, world-renowned Middle Eastern drummer. Dave Posmontier, Jazz and Klezmer Piano/Keyboard virtuoso. These artists will collaborate with members of the Naples Philharmonic Orchestra. INTERCULTURAL JOURNEYS believes that performances are opportunities to play a small part in contributing to world peace when done for the purpose of bringing people together who might otherwise be in conflict.

UDI BAR-DAVID IN COCONUT GROVE ON MARCH 10TH

Back to Bach & Beyond Festival is coming March 9th and 10th here at Miami Conservatory of Music. On Sunday the 10th, Udi Bar David of the Philadelphia Orchestra will play and present a “Deconstructed” and “Classical” Bach.

Back To Bach Festival And Beyond (4:00 pm) An incredible opportunity to listen this afternoon to Udi Bar-David presenting and performing Bach. Udi is widely considered as one of the most versatile cellists in the world today and is a member of the Philadelphia Orchestra. The program will include a Bach suite, duo with violin, Bach piano and cello sonata, and improvisations. A reception will follow with the artists.
